We were beginning to think that we had all the best spots figured out. Deer Mound for evening shoots, Terwillegar for the afternoon, sprinkle in some Buena Vista and that recipe really worked for us all summer. Then we had a client request that we shoot at Mill Creek. Living near Mill Creek Ravine, we knew that it was a high traffic with narrow paths, not a lot of room to to set up without distraction - especially for curious dogs. But boy are we glad we did!
We ended up finding this nice grassy spot just down from the Shamrock Curling Club, under the shade of some trees which also blocked a good portion of the wind which happened to be pretty strong that day. The results are a good mix of vantage, sunny/shady, and relative privacy.
Guess what we're trying to say is: you never know how a location is going to work until you try it out!
Here are some of the shots we ended up taking that windy Sunday in Mill Creek Ravine where we had one of our favourite shoots of the summer with Swiffer and Captain!
