Session pace

Slow, gentle, and planned around the dog who needs the most support.

Location

One comfortable Edmonton-area outdoor location with room for breaks and easy movement.

Good to know

After you choose an available date and time, you'll select a collection to reserve your session. Additional artwork can still be added after your gallery is ready.

Is this the right fit?

This is the right session if your dog needs a slower, more thoughtful pace.

  • Your dog is older, changing, or in a milestone season, but you are not facing an immediate goodbye.
  • You want a gentle session that leaves room for breaks, comfort, and mobility needs.
  • You want quiet portraits, details, and connection with the people your dog loves.
  • You want the experience planned around meaning, not performance.
  • You want finished images that help preserve this season beautifully.

You may prefer the Rainbow Bridge Session if time is very limited or urgent availability is needed.

Common questions

Questions before you plan.

How is Legacy different from Rainbow Bridge?

Legacy is usually best for senior dogs or meaningful seasons when your dog is currently stable. Rainbow Bridge is reserved for urgent or end-of-life situations.

What if my dog has mobility needs?

We plan the location, pace, and poses around your dog's comfort. Breaks, short walks, and quiet moments are built in.

Can family members be included?

Yes. Legacy Sessions often include quiet family connection because those relationships are part of what makes the photographs matter.

Does my dog need to be able to sit or pose?

No. Resting, sniffing, leaning close, or simply being comfortable can all become meaningful photographs.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We will choose the best available plan for your dog and the conditions. If weather makes the session uncomfortable or impractical, we will adjust.

Is a Legacy Session right for a senior dog who is still active and comfortable?

Yes. A Legacy Session is designed for dogs who are currently stable: older, slowing down, or in a meaningful season, but not facing an urgent goodbye. If your dog can still enjoy some time outdoors and feel comfortable on a short outing, a Legacy Session is usually the better fit than a Rainbow Bridge Session.

What if my dog cannot walk very far or needs frequent breaks?

That is exactly what a Legacy Session is built around. We choose a location with easy access from parking, short walking distances, and comfortable spots to rest. The pace stays slow, with no pressure to cover distance or keep moving.

Is a Legacy Session only for dogs who are close to the end of their life?

No. A Legacy Session is for any dog in a meaningful or changing season: a senior dog, a dog with a recent health change, a milestone birthday, or a family who wants to preserve a season beautifully before it passes. If there is real urgency or very limited time, a Rainbow Bridge Session is likely the better path.
